SUMMARY:Lake Delton 2026 Winter Code Update Dates
DESCRIPTION:The time is here we are now open for registration for the 2026 winter code updates. this year we have new topics and some new presenters. $150.00 per day\, with 1 hour break\, lunch included \nUDC Building & HVAC February 12 & March 10 8:00-3:30– This course will take a deep dive into separated building design. We will look at several plans\, from 2 separated duplexes (4 dwelling units) all the way up to 4 separated duplexes (8 dwelling units). We will walk through plan reviews and view onsite photos of common framing issues. A wide variety of topics will be covered including treated wood foundations and shallow frost protected foundations and cover gas venting requirements and HVAC duct installation issues. Approved for UDC Building Inspector\, Dwelling Contractor Qualifier\, and UDC HVAC Inspector. This class does NOT cover any of the 4 hrs. of required legal training for Dwelling Contractor Qualifier\ncredential holders. \nCommercial Building March 9 8:00-3:30– This course will assist participants in implementing the transition from the 2015 IBC to the 2021 IBC and will include the Wisconsinism’s that alter the 2021 IBC. This interactive training will focus on the key changes that are found in the 2021 IBC.  This course is approved for 6 hours of CEUs for Dwelling contractor Qualifier\, Commercial Building Inspector. \n1&2 Family Electric February 11 8:00-3:30– This program will provide guidance for navigating the NEC and SPS 316 to help beginning and veteran electricians find answers in the Code. We will also look at inspection fundamentals for new and seasoned inspectors or other electricians looking to become inspectors. Our annual Code Panel discussion will discuss issues that have arisen around the State in the past year. Approved for Commercial Electrical Inspector\, UDC-Electrical Inspector\, Industrial Journeyman Electrician\, Journeyman Electrician\, Master Electrician\, Registered\nElectrician\, Residential Journeyman Electrician\, and Residential Master Electrician \nCommercial Electric February 10 8:00-3:30– This program will review changes that affect electrical installations to comply with the newly adopted 2021 Wisconsin Building\, Energy\, Mechanical\, Accessibility Codes and more. We will also have our annual Code Panel discussion reviewing issues that have arisen in the past year around the State. Approved for Commercial Electrical Inspector\, Industrial Journeyman Electrician\, Journeyman Electrician\, Master Electrician\, Registered Electrician\, Residential Journeyman Electrician\, Residential Master Electrician\, and UDC-Electrical\nInspector. \nPlumbing March 11 8:00-3:30– The morning session will cover a mock UDC Plumbing Inspector exam in small breakout groups followed up with open discussion to review the topics. We will discuss any possible code updates and cover issues with indirect and local waste piping. The afternoon session will cover “What to Expect when You’re Inspecting” and finish up with a water calculation worksheet and venting dos and don’ts.
