BIANEW Minutes

Vice President Peter Fetters called the morning session of the meeting to order at 9:30 a.m. with 20 members in attendance.

The first speaker was Don Oremus with the Department of Commerce.  He gave a presentation on Plumbing Inspection, Testing, & Installation Requirements.  Handouts were distributed to members.  A few of the common violations that were discussed were improper sizing of pex tubing, basements without the required floor drains, and water heater T & P valves that discharge to non-approved receptors.  Three hours of continuing education credits were provided.

No business meeting was conducted but a discussion took place regarding the June 1st Meeting.  Dennis Jensen stated that he was wondering if the Association would be willing to pay for donuts, refreshments, and sub sandwiches for the June meeting in DePere.  A motion was made and approved to pay approx. $250 for doughnuts, refreshments, and sub sandwiches for the June meeting.

Meeting adjourned at 12:45 p.m.

Respectfully submitted,

Nicole Krahn

Secretary, NEWBIA
